About the opportunity

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Social Media and Communications expert to work in an energetic environment with responsibilities that include owning our brand presence on social media and aiding the Demand Generation team with driving revenue via organic promotion. This person will be responsible for conceptualizing posts, working with our designers to develop relevant creative and analyzing data to test and optimize offers/messaging/designs. The right person for this role will be passionate about growing brands, telling stories and standing out amongst a crowded, highly competitive space. This person will have the unique opportunity to help develop Veza’s online “voice,” carving out a clear place for our insights and business philosophy in the cybersecurity industry as a whole. You will be reporting to our Head of Demand Generation and you'll work alongside builders who have helped to shape the success of companies such as Google, Okta, AWS, VMware and more.

You Will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to raise Veza’s profile as an industry-defining leader in the identity security space
  • Own the partnership with our creative agency and in-house creative team, managing key relationships with designers and content creators
  • Write social media captions, short-form articles, and develop messaging points that clearly communicate Veza’s competitive differentiation, market position and unique opinion on the state of the industry
  • Work with the marketing team to craft our online company “voice”.
  • Coordinate posts with other influential accounts in the cybersecurity space to raise the profile of Veza and our senior leaders
  • Provide coaching, media training, and support to our sales team as they leverage their own social media profiles to promote Veza’s vision
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to execute impactful social media strategies that support ongoing campaigns, as well as the launch of new products and features
  • Own and develop content ideation, content creation, content approvals and execution of social media strategy
  • Manage communications on social media, including engaging with relevant accounts, reposting relevant content and developing relationships with our customers, adjacent vendors, reporters, news sources and other influential accounts online
  • Own internal communications on social media including reporting and company-wide announcements promoting certain social media initiatives

You Have

  • Education:
    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of social media or demand generation experience, preferably at a high-growth tech startup
    • Experience managing and leading external communication activities
    • Experience building and managing a social media or online brand strategy
  • Other Skills:
    • High level of attention to detail, aptitude for planning/executing deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Creative writer with the ability to imbue personality into written content

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
