We're hiring a Head of Marketing to make Usul the defining AI brand in defense innovation.

The defense industry is experiencing its biggest transformation in decades. AI is reshaping how defense companies win government contracts, and Usul is at the center of it all. We're working with some of the most ambitious defense innovators in the world - companies building autonomous ground vehicles, next-gen drone capabilities, and AI technologies that will define the future of national security.

Our growth has been driven by word of mouth from customers who can't imagine working without us. Now we need a marketing leader who can amplify that story and establish Usul as the must-have platform for defense companies navigating government contracting in the AI era.

This is our first marketing hire. You'll work directly with our founders to build the marketing function from the ground up, craft our narrative, and drive explosive growth in one of the world's most important industries.

We're looking for someone who understands how to market cutting-edge software to traditional industries, knows how to turn complex technical capabilities into compelling stories, and has the strategic vision to build a world-class marketing organization.

What we look for:

  • 3-8 years of marketing experience at software companies selling to legacy industries

  • Proven track record building marketing functions from early stage to scale

  • Deep understanding of B2B marketing to enterprise customers and government stakeholders

  • Experience with long sales cycles, complex buying processes, and technical decision-makers

  • Strategic thinker who can execute hands-on - comfortable doing the work while building the team

  • Exceptional storytelling ability with experience positioning disruptive technology

  • Track record of driving measurable growth through integrated marketing campaigns

What you'll do:

  • Own our content strategy and execution: Drive our content calendar across product launches, customer success stories, partnership announcements, and thought leadership - positioning Usul as the AI leader transforming defense contracting.

  • Lead our conference and events program: We attend 1-2 defense conferences monthly - you'll own booth strategy, coordinate VIP customer dinners, and maximize brand visibility with our target customers. This is currently our highest-impact sales channel.

  • Build and manage our growth tech stack: Own the marketing infrastructure that powers our inbound motion - from lead capture and nurturing to attribution and analytics

  • Craft Usul's narrative: Work with founders and customers to tell the story of how AI is revolutionizing government contracting

  • Drive pipeline and revenue: Create integrated campaigns that generate qualified leads and accelerate our sales cycle

  • Build the marketing organization: Scale the team and processes as we grow rapidly

  • Establish thought leadership: Make Usul the definitive voice on AI transformation in government contracting
