About the role:
The Workplace Facilities Manager will be responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and efficient operation of multiple workplace locations. This position can be based out of Lexington, KY or Columbia, SC. This role involves managing facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance the work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of workplace facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of various workspaces.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all facilities comply with safety regulations and standards, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues promptly.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maintenance.
- Optimize layouts and space utilization to meet the diverse needs of the organization.
- Implement and promote sustainable practices within the facilities to reduce environmental impact.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for all workplace locations.
- Lead and manage a team of facilities staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 - $173,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
