About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager, Engineering to join our team. The Commercial Manager, Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of our engineering projects. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for engineering projects.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure favorable terms and compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks to minimize potential financial and operational impacts.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads.
  • Manage and maintain beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead and manage a commercial team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of project objectives.
  • Provide analysis of project performance using data from cost, scheduling, planning, and risk assessments.
  • Support the procurement process during both pre-award and post-award phases to maximize operational and financial performance.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Commercial Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of senior-level commercial experience in consultancy or contracting, preferably within the nuclear, energy, or high-hazard industries.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with NEC3 and FIDIC contracts.
  • Commercial Management qualifications (e.g., via ICM, CCM) and chartership status through a recognized international body are a plus.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

The estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 - $173,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
