The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning, production, and execution of Stocktwits’ growing portfolio of in-person experiences—from large-scale industry gatherings to intimate VIP dinners.

The Events Manager will report to the VP, Partnerships and oversee all aspects of event strategy and execution for Stocktwits, including marquee annual events such as the Cashtag Awards in New York City and Stocktoberfest in California. This role will also manage a year-round calendar of smaller events, including monthly dinner series, the annual employee offsite, and partner activations.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has deep experience with VIP hospitality and sponsor relations, and knows how to translate brand goals into memorable, high-impact experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full event lifecycle from concept and budgeting to logistics, production, and post-event analysis.
  • Own and execute marquee events including the Cashtag Awards and Stocktoberfest, ensuring alignment with Stocktwits’ brand, business goals, and community values.
  • Manage recurring events including sponsored monthly dinners, employee offsites, and partner hospitality initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, and agency relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Partnerships, Content, and People) to align event strategy with broader company initiatives.
  • Deliver VIP experiences by managing guest communications, hospitality, and on-site logistics for high-profile sponsors, speakers, and community members.
  • Evaluate event success through KPIs and feedback, continuously improving process and outcomes.
  • Select and manage agencies and vendors as needed for creative production, logistics, and experiential design.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of event management experience, preferably within sports or media industries.
  • Proven track record of executing large-scale branded events and high-touch VIP experiences.
  • Strong vendor management, negotiation, and budgeting skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across internal and external stakeholders, and with VIP guests/speakers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
  • New York Metro-Area candidates preferred.

Benefits and Perks

  • Remote position
  • Unlimited PTO and sick leave
  • Fully paid for comprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401k with company match up to 4%.
  • Stock options
  • Generous WFH stipend: set up your home office for maximum daily comfort
