We are currently seeking a talented and team-oriented Print Operations Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on person working towards a degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist process engineers in conducting printing experiments, routine printer maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing printers and ancillary equipment.
- Use commercial software such as Solidworks, Autodesk NetFabb, and Materialise Magics to support process engineers to prepare printing files.
- Assist systems engineers to monitor and upkeep lab facilities.
- Assist systems engineers to manage printing related lab supplies.
- Assist materials engineers to post process and characterize printed samples.
- Assist application engineers to develop and analyze printing applications.
- Assist engineers on documentation.
- Assist engineers on procurement.
Required:
- Undergraduate and graduate students in engineering disciplines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environments.
- 90% of work is carried out onsite.
- Experience in designing mechanical parts.
- Hands on experience in building mechanical prototype systems.
- Experience in operating industrial equipment.
- Experience in working with thermal, flow and pressure, and motion systems.
- Experience in programming using MATLAB, Python, etc.
- Experience in optical and laser systems.
