Seurat Technologies is seeking an Applications Program Engineer to work on a revolutionary and proprietary laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) based additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing technology. This new Area Printing technology greatly enhances the quality and productivity of metal additive manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to work with the business development team and customers to define and develop printing applications while also being able to translate customer needs to the internal process team. The Applications Program Engineer must be able to manage customer qualification programs throughout all stages of the process.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the internal business development team and customers to scope and develop printing applications.
- Manage customer application qualification programs from design through initial production.
- Work with the internal process team to qualify materials that meet customer standards.
- Understand engineering principles and interpret results that can be conveyed to customers.
- B.S. or above in Materials or Mechanical engineering disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in related fields.
- Proven project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively within a cross functional and multidisciplinary team environment.
- Travel up to 15%.
- Experience in producing components using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) based metal 3D printers is strongly.
- Background in designing additively manufactured parts is strongly preferred.
- Experience in commonly used metal (ferrous and nonferrous) materials or a background in materials science
- Experience in common AM post-processing techniques.
- Understand mechanical design principles and comprehend mechanical part and assembly drawings.
- Experience in configuring and operating sophisticated industrial material processing equipment.
