Software Project Manager

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated and detail-oriented software project manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technically complex multi-platform software projects through all their phases from inception to maintenance and possess excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage technically complex software projects from start to finish in a Hybrid Agile development environment.
  • Manage and motivate software developers and other team members.
  • Lead project status meetings with developers (Hybrid-Agile/SCRUM).
  • Communicate project status clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and give presentations on project progress to senior management.
  • Ensure each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
  • Support integration and debug activities to lead those from the software perspective in collaboration with other engineering disciplines and Program Management.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and change requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • S. degree in Software Development Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and experience in leading software development projects for complex electromechanical systems (firmware, PLC and desktop / cloud software).
  • Software development life cycle model experience and advanced knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing software, firmware and/or PLC development projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Developers and QA Personnel.
  • Proven leadership, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience managing complex electromechanical systems including debugging efforts.
  • Mentor, coach, collaborate, and support team building efforts.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent
  • Experience with Visio, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications, not required:

  • Additive manufacturing / 3D printing industry experience.
  • S. degree in Software Development Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
  • PMP Certification.
