Electrical Technician
The electrical engineering team has an immediate opening available for an electrical technician. The ideal electrical technician will have experience with all aspects of industrial equipment manufacturing, including wiring, panels, troubleshooting, and reading/understanding schematics, and be comfortable working autonomously. Projects on our team are dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative. You'll wear many hats in this role as you'll be involved in all aspects of development, from ideation, hands-on prototyping, qualification, and support. Electrical Technician
The electrical engineering team has an immediate opening available for an electrical technician. Duties And Responsibilities
- Electrical panel assembly, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of complex industrial automation systems.
- Cut, drill, and tap holes for mounting components and connectors.
- Select and order appropriate wire gauges, colors, and routing (separation of AC/DC).
- Select and order electrical components such as power supplies, relays, and terminal blocks.
- Provide feedback to engineers by collaborating in meetings and providing markups on schematics.
- Associate degree or trade school certificate in Electrical / Electromechanical assembly or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience working with schematics and providing markups as needed.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite of applications as well as Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD to view and mark up schematics.
- Familiarity with industrial control hardware such as I/O modules, safety relays, power supplies, breakers, and DIN rail components.
- Fluent with basic electrical tools such as wire strippers, crimp tools and a soldering iron.
- Intermediate knowledge of basic electrical tools such as wire strippers and crimp tools.
- Experience with troubleshooting such as continuity and voltage/current checks.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools such as hand drills, hole taps, jig saws, Dremel tools, etc.
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, as well as proven effective teamwork.
- Flexibility: comfortable with changing priorities and supporting mechanical assembly when required.
- Understanding of cable types, such as coax, shielded, twisted pair, etc.
- Understanding separation of AC/DC, communication cabling and sensitive analog cabling.
- Familiarity with electrical standards (NFPA79, NFPA70, UL508A) & safety compliances (preferably CE).
- Proven experience with complex system integration and diagnostics.
- Experience in additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing.
