Provide support to build the company’s financial and control functions and systems. Specific duties include:

We are currently seeking a talented and team-oriented Staff Accountant to add to our team.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to build the company’s financial and control functions and systems. Specific duties include:
- Maintaining the general ledger including reconciling balance sheet accounts, identifying variances, and prepare periodic adjustments.
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close by preparing necessary accounting entries and analyzing financial statements.
- Support ERP selection and implementation.
- File management of all vendor and customer agreements as well as working knowledge of the terms of the agreements.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP for assigned areas and associated accounts, including adherence to all required policies and procedures.
- Census reporting.
- Management and investor reporting.
- Project spend analysis and reporting.
- Prepare monthly reporting of Vacation and Sick Time.
- And other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting position with corporate, start-up or high-growth companies.
- Proficient with Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and ERP system.
- Background in science or technology industries a plus
- Has the highest personal and professional integrity — exhibits a stable personality, is able to give and take constructive criticism and demands high performance from both himself/herself and colleagues.
- A team builder with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environment with ambiguity.
- Task-oriented with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
