We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Sr. Electrical Designer to join our Electrical Engineering Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in schematic capture, design and maintenance for machine controls, and novel electro-mechanical systems.

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Sr. Electrical Designer to join our Electrical Engineering Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in schematic capture, design and maintenance for machine controls, and novel electro-mechanical systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team in schematic capture for all control systems and ensure detailed schematics for assembly.
- Act as the subject matter expert and lead the implementation for electrical schematic documentation, standards, and processes in SolidWorks Electrical.
- Accurately capture and maintain electrical and control schematics for complex systems using SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical (legacy).
- Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) from schematics / panel layouts.
- Work with external vendors and internal resources during the build process to capture redlines.
- Experience with creating and maintaining one-line schematics as well as panel layouts.
- Ability to create 3D panel views in SolidWorks.
- Ability to respond quickly to new design requirement.
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- S./B.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related.
- 10+ Years of experience in related fields.
- 5+ Years of experience with schematic capture using Solidworks Electrical.
- Proven technical and organizational leadership.
- Experience as a lead designer in developing detailed electrical documentation for complex control systems.
- Experience with frequently used control components, such as I/O modules, (safety) relays, power supplies, breakers, other DIN rail components, etc.
- Intimately familiar with NFPA79, UL508A, CE, and similar electrical standards.
- Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid work environment:
- Expected to be in the office approximately 2-3 days and as required depending on design stage.
- Strong background in Mechatronics.
- Experience / familiarity with PC-based / rack-mount control systems, as well as panel-mount PLC & distributed IO systems.
- Experience with Beckhoff control systems.
- Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing.
- Experience working in a start-up or equivalently fast-paced environment.
