We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer & Operator to join a dynamic team. You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and executing CNC programs to produce high-quality precision parts. You will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build our brand to become the global leader. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.

The ideal candidate demonstrates comprehensive understanding of milling operations for part manufacturing that involves: (a) operating CNC machines, (b) programming CNC programs, (c) fixture design, (d) equipment maintenance, (e) tooling knowledge, (f) design for manufacturing, and (g) equipment procurement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machine daily including fixturing, running programs, and maintenance.
• Use CAD/CAM software to program 3 axis milling machines to machine complex metallic structures and components. 4th and 5th Axis experience are a bonus.
• Design complex fixturing.
• Select tooling and maintain tool library.
• Assist Applications team with machining time and cost estimates.
• Assist Applications team with DFM (design for manufacturing).
• Assist with procurement of additional milling/manufacturing equipment.
• Assist in the operation of auxiliary manufacturing equipment (bandsaw, furnace, media blast, etc.)
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of combined experience operating and programming CNC machinery
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively with cross functional and multidisciplinary team environment.
• Travel up to 10%.
  
  

Preferred Competencies:

• Associate degree or above in engineering disciplines.
• Experience with a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and nickel based alloys)
• Experience with Autodesk Fusion/Solidworks CAM
• Experience machining metal additive manufactured parts
• Experience with automation/high-throughput production facilities
• Experience with Haas Equipment
• Experience of working in commercial metal AM manufacturing facilities (service bureaus, manufacturing divisions, laboratories, etc.) is strongly preferred.
