Sandbar is an interface company in New York City. We aim to augment individuals in an agentic world—to think, act, and move freely. Our team has built SW, ML, and HW products across Meta, CTRL-labs, Google, Apple, Fitbit, Peloton, and Equinox.

Our first product, Stream, is a new human-agent interface—a private voice ring and conversational computer. Stream has been featured in WSJ, Bloomberg, & Wired, and begins shipping in Summer '26.

About

We’re hiring a Founding Product Manager for Stream, a new conversational interface. You will be responsible for software product development—including user research, market positioning, feature definition, and releases. You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, marketing, and founders across high-level strategy and minute-to-minute execution.

This role is perfect for a product leader or prior founder hungry for the place in between 0 and 1, who loves engaging with and learning from users and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage our user programs, including sourcing, onboarding, feedback, and triage

• Transform complex, ambiguous ideas into clear, buildable products

• Work with engineering and design to make tradeoffs, align on decisions, and drive day-to-day execution

• Work with marketing on customer understanding and product positioning

• Work closely with engineers, designers, founders on product

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping consumer technology products

• Significant experience engaging with external users and customers

• Ability to distill complex decisions into clear tradeoffs and decisions

• Love for minute details, granular processes, and minor copy edits

• Strong technical knowledge

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Passion for large language models and human-computer interaction
