About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our RAM and Safety Team as a RAM and Safety Engineering Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the proposal development process within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
The internship position is required to work out of either our Dallas, TX or Huntsville, AL offices. This will be a 12-week paid internship during the summer of 2025 beginning on Monday, May 19th and concluding on Friday, August 8th.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safety System Engineering Rotation
- Collaborate with the safety engineering team to assess and enhance the safety of mechanical systems and components.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety standards and protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the design of safety-critical systems.
- Reliability Engineering Rotation
- Engage in reliability analysis and testing of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance under various conditions.
- Assist in the development of reliability models and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Some coursework or experience with reliability analysis and testing of mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present information clearly to team members.
- Attention to detail and an eagerness to document system design and implementation processes.
