About the Role

Parry Labs is dedicated to advancing technology and safeguarding critical infrastructure. As a pioneer in cutting-edge solutions, we are committed to fostering the growth of future talent in UX/UI design engineering. As a UX/UI engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals and contribute to cutting-edge projects that safeguard our nation.

The internship position is required to work out of either our Dallas, TX or Huntsville, AL offices. This will be a 12-week paid internship during the summer of 2025 beginning on Monday, May 19th and concluding on Friday, August 8th.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting customer UX needs and preferences.
• Help design user interfaces for new or existing backends to meet customer requirements.
• Create wireframes and mockups to gather feedback from team members and stakeholders before implementation.
• Collaborate with system and software engineers during the implementation process.
• Learn and share best practices in UX design with the team.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings (virtually or in person) to update on project status.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning meetings, providing feedback on progress and helping estimate task complexity.
• Work on designing user interfaces for web-based or desktop applications.
• Support projects related to UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) or command and control user interfaces.
• Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science). Preferred candidates will be entering their senior year in Fall 2025.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if needed upon scope of work (US Citizenship required).
• Strong interest in UX design and user interface development.
• Basic knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Interest or experience with modern web frameworks such as React.
• Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software.
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL) is a plus.
