Position Summary:
Oath is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to support the production of microbial cultures both in-house and with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs). This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth daily manufacturing operations and ensuring consistent product volumes and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex manufacturing logistics: scheduling production at Oath and contract facilities to meet delivery dates for product orders and sample requests; managing inventory of raw materials, active ingredients, and final product to ensure no production downtime; and shipping product internationally. You will work closely with the Director of Operations to jointly foster a collaborative project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate available off-the-shelf planning software solutions & recommend a suitable system.
- Meet regularly with Business Development and Sales to continually update product & sample order priorities and delivery dates, and supply product availability forecasts
- Schedule production both in-house and with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) based on inventory and process workflow to deliver orders by required dates
- Maintain and organize inventory of raw materials, active ingredients, final product.
- Ship product internationally ensuring required paperwork and permits are in place.
- Build bills of materials for products in support of tracking Cost of Goods (COGs) and Full Manufacturing Cost (FMC)
- Support overall lab organization, including restocking and waste management.
- Communicate effectively with team members across all levels.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of prior experience in high-throughput laboratories and/or GMP manufacturing environments.
- Experience with production planning & scheduling software (e.g. BatchMaster, MRPeasy, Tulip, PlanetTogether APS, etc.)
- Experience with International shipping documentation requirements
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Reliable team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Familiarity with GoogleSuite, Benchling, Excel, Slack and similar tools is a plus
Location:
This role is flexible and can be based in Vacaville, CA or be remote.
