Senior Video & Motion Designer
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior video editor with strong motion graphics/animation skills to develop and deliver high-performing content across our marketing and sales programs. Reporting to the Senior Art Director, this role is pivotal in creating high-performing assets for both our owned web and paid demand programs. In addition to video and motion graphics experience, the ideal candidate will have experience in sound editing for podcasts and platform asset management (ie Wistia, YouTube, Hubspot, etc).
As the point person for all things video and motion, you will work closely with the marketing team and other stakeholders to develop and execute compelling visual content that communicates our brand values and product messaging to our target audiences.
From designing storyboards to publishing, you will support our mission to elevate ThoughtSpot Brand & Creative to create a recognized, loved, and trustworthy brand and differentiate our brand from the competition. You will be evolving the visual and content language of the TS brand and continuing to hone in on the brand systems to create styles that ensure the brand’s creative direction and voice are consistent across all channels.
What You’ll Do:
Edit video content to high standards with an understanding of pacing, audio mix, color grading, and tone of the final piece.
Execute professional post-production skills across editorial, graphics creation, animation, audio, and basic color correction.
Create high-quality, compelling storyboards that demonstrate strong foundational design skills.
Create animated graphics packages (including lower thirds, animated logos, transitions, and end graphics).
Contribute creative ideas for video projects that will help elevate client brand and messages and work independently on several projects at the same time effectively.
Analyze workload and tasks to accurately estimate turnaround times.
Build brand guidelines and templates for our video and motion graphics.
Work with directors and stakeholders to develop the visual and narrative direction of a project and follow notes and directions from the client and internal teams.
Sound edit and contribute to the production of our executive podcast.
Manage our assets across platforms and tools like Wisita, HubSpot and YouTube
What You Bring:
6+ years of experience in motion design and video editing, working in an in-house and/or agency environment, with exceptional design aesthetics and a compelling portfolio.
Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong storyboarding skills, and expert level in Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Premiere, After Effects, and a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
Strong understand of design fundamentals including typography, grids, color theory, illustration and animation, and visual hierarchy.
3D motion design and experience is a plus!
