Design is a core part of this evolution. We see design not as a downstream function, but as a critical partner in shaping product direction, simplifying complexity, and improving how clients interact with information.

The Role:

Product Designers at Kurtosys are embedded within the Product team and contribute across multiple product domains, spanning foundational platform capabilities and client-facing reporting and digital experiences

You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers within outcome-led initiatives, helping to shape problems early and translate them into intuitive, scalable solutions.

This role is for a designer who thinks deeply about user problems and moves fluidly between strategy and pixel, comfortable shaping early concepts as well as refining detailed interaction and system-level design.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Product Designer at Kurtosys, you will:

Shape product experiences from problem to solution

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to understand problems, users, and constraints
• Contribute early to discovery, helping define problem spaces and explore solution directions
• Translate complex, data-heavy requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences

Design for clarity, scale, and consistency

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate intent clearly
• Actively contribute to the evolution of our AI-ready design system by identifying gaps, establishing reusable patterns, and improving documentation
• Ensure consistency and scalability across the platform through strong system thinking and reuse

Operate with an AI-first design approach

• Integrate AI tools such as Figma AI, Claude, and Cursor into your workflow to accelerate ideation and generate design variations
• Use AI to pressure-test concepts early and reduce time to insight
• Contribute to evolving how AI is applied within our design and product workflows

Validate and iterate based on real signals

• Conduct user research and usability testing where appropriate
• Use data, feedback, and observation to refine designs
• Iterate with intent, balancing speed with quality in a regulated environment

Contribute to enablement and product understanding

• Support the creation of internal training materials and guidance for stakeholders and implementation partners
• Clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Help ensure what we design is understood, usable, and adopted

Contribute to a strong product and design culture

• Participate in design critiques and cross-functional discussions
• Advocate for the user while balancing business, technical, and regulatory constraints

• Share knowledge and help raise the overall quality of design across the product

What We’re Looking For

You likely have:

• 2 to 4 years’ experience in Product, UX, or UI Design
• Experience designing for complex systems, ideally in fintech, financial services, or B2B SaaS
• A strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving, not just visual polish
• Hands-on experience with Figma and comfort using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar as part of your workflow
• Experience contributing to or building design systems, with an understanding of component architecture, token structures, and scalability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and invite constructive challenge

Advantageous but not essential:

• Familiarity with front-end concepts such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Experience working in regulated or data-intensive environments
