  • Seize the opportunity to shape a broad and impactful QA function from the ground up.
  • Formalise and strengthen the embedded QA process throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy and roadmap that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to QA teams, ensuring that quality is a core part of every stage of development.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of QA initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced test automation frameworks and methodologies to maximize testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve quality-related risks and issues.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to understand expectations, ensuring these are reflected in our quality standards and the final product.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential quality issues that could impact client satisfaction and user experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in QA practices, tools, and methodologies, offering mentorship and coaching to QA professionals.
  • Lead a QA team of approximately 8 members setting clear objectives, fostering professional growth, and building a high-performance culture.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven ability to lead QA efforts in complex environments and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in lean teams with limited direct support, able to prioritise, build, and deliver without waiting for perfect conditions.
  • Strong foundation in QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and adaptable frameworks that can meet both business needs and formal process requirements.
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up, especially in environments where tooling is still maturing.
  • Confident engaging with clients and cross-functional teams, able to translate quality into language that makes sense to both business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent communicator with a knack for balancing pragmatism and process someone who can work within structure while still finding smart ways to move things forward.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working across both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall delivery models, particularly in environments transitioning to structured, project-based approaches.
  • Prior exposure to the Asset Management or broader financial services industry.
  • Experience managing QA in multi-client or B2B SaaS platforms where customization per client is common.
  • Understanding of test data management practices, including synthetic data creation or working with masked production data.
  • Hands-on experience implementing lightweight QA governance in fast-paced or lean environments.
  • Exposure to Jira and Confluence as part of managing QA processes, traceability, and reporting.
