THE OPPORTUNITY:

Kurtosys Systems is looking for a Product Analyst to join its growing product team. The successful applicant will have experience in business analysis, product ownership and have a passion for overcoming challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and potential new opportunities for product development.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • Business Analysis: Assess the feasibility and impact of proposed product initiatives on organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Technology Collaboration: Work closely with technology teams, including developers, engineers, and technical architects, to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation. Bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities.
  • Feature Prioritization: Collaborate with the product manager to prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Product Testing: Coordinate and participate in product testing activities, including usability testing, acceptance testing, and quality assurance, to ensure product quality and user satisfaction.
  • Product Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training materials, to support internal teams and customers.

SKILLS:

  • Business Analysis Frameworks: Such as SWOT analysis, stakeholder analysis, and business process modelling to identify business opportunities, define project scope, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the Asset Management industry domain and understanding of relevant technologies, market trends, and best practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to drive product success.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment, including familiarity with Scrum or Kanban principles and practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, seeking feedback and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes and deliverables.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and circumstances, and maintain focus and productivity in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation, with a passion for understanding customer needs and delivering value through innovative products and solutions.

OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal qualifications like PSPO, CSPO advantageous
  • JIRA and Confluence experience
  • Experience working in a SAAS environment
  • Design and UX knowledge, or background as a designer
  • Technical background (understanding of web services, various basic methodologies)
