THE OPPORTUNITY:


We are seeking a well-rounded Services Analyst who will be involved with analyzing, specifying and upgrading existing solutions for our clients.
The Services Analyst will draw on a variety of problem solving abilities and technical skills, working closely with the internal Services team to analyze data, present options and design a solution to meet the business need presented by the client. The Services Analyst will also be responsible to assist on resolving incidents raised which involves client data, specific client configuration or other external factors.

This position is required to work US-hours once a week: between 14:00 and 22:00 SAST and public holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to analyze client data (in various formats such as CSV, XLSX, XML, JSON etc.) for validity, accuracy and completeness in case of incidents raised or enhancements to be made to the clients’ current solution.
  • Ability to analyze the client’s reporting requirements from a data, formatting and report workflow perspective.
  • Engaging in regular interactions with clients to ensure that they are kept up to date on production/ change related issues.
  • Monitoring client production runs to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of their reports.
  • Ability to identify the core business problem to be solved and/or value to be added by Kurtosys using analysis tools, techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to read up on a clients’ solution (their functional documentation) and gain an understanding of their setup and configuration in order to make changes, enhancements and/or fixes to the setup.
  • Ensuring that you are proficient on the Kurtosys Studio Apps, platform and products and all other technical aspects involved to apply in solving complex business problems as per the client’s business & user requirements.
  • Configure changes and enhancements in JSON & SQL to our predefined suite of Studio Apps and Datasets. These need to be delivered to a high output standard based on business requirements and estimations from the initial analysis. You need to meet your commitments for the timing of deliveries.
  • Maintain a holistic view of client data, their current specifications, possibilities of the Kurtosys platform and boundaries within the data and/or setup we need to work with.
  • Apply yourself actively across multiple clients with varying solutions from Kurtosys
  • Establish and develop a healthy, constructive working relationship with the Client Services Delivery team and our clients; which span across multiple time zones (from the Americas through to EMEA and South Africa).
  • Continuously improve and add value to the Services team and function through open and honest communication, hosting training sessions on pre-determined topics, staying current with technical business analysis industry trends and technology and feeding this back into the team.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES:

  • An understanding of development tools and technologies such as SQL, and JavaScript.
  • Experience in working with database technologies such as SQL Lite, as well as RESTful APIs (XML/JSON).
  • Intermediate or above T-SQL development experience – required to write and debug advanced SQL, experience with functions, stored procedures, tables and views.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and highly driven to continuously learn, adapt and improve yourself and your team.
  • A strong understanding of data structures.
  • Familiarity with a task & requirements management system such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven client liaison and etiquette ability with a mindset of delivering a consistent positive client experience
  • Attention to detail and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues
  • Ability to work under pressure within a team context

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience in Design tools such as InDesign
  • A background in Asset management or detailed knowledge of the industry.
  • An understanding of cloud service providers and technologies as well as future trends in this space.
  • The ability to confidently push back on out-of-scope, unreasonable or irrelevant requirements and communicating / justifying your reasoning.
  • A proven capacity to configure technical solutions (data visualization, data structuring, etc.).
