Program Overview
Handshake is looking for experienced GRE Quantitative Reasoning instructors to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional job. You'll draw on your hands-on expertise in GRE quantitative instruction and test preparation to evaluate AI-generated educational content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand how to teach, explain, and support learners in quantitative reasoning.
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside anything else you have going on.
Program Details
This project involves using your professional experience and hands-on knowledge of GRE Quantitative Reasoning instruction to create expert-level training data and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, and instructional quality. No prior AI experience required.
Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement; most contributors work approximately 5–20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.

Who Should Apply
- At least 2 years of professional experience in GRE tutoring or test preparation, in a role such as GRE Quantitative Tutor, Test Prep Instructor, Standardized Test Prep Specialist, or Academic Tutor specializing in quantitative reasoning
- Demonstrated expertise in GRE Quantitative Reasoning; this opportunity is for quantitative instruction only and is not open to Verbal or Analytical Writing specialists
- Bachelor's degree or higher required; Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline preferred
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- This opportunity is not eligible for CPT or OPT participation
