About the role

We are entering a new stage in scaling our business and impact in Europe, and are looking for 2-3 full-time or part-time Operations Associates to join our fast-growing team in Helsinki!

The Operations team at Intergrid is responsible for ensuring that our AI Autopilot is running smoothly and customer value is maximized. This includes remote monitoring of mission-critical energy systems, supervising participation in power markets, as well as initiating and coordinating efforts in case of any interruptions.

As an Operations Associate, your main responsibilities are ensuring seamless daily autonomous control, continuous development, and flawless relationships with customers and key stakeholders. You are expected to be a pivotal part in scaling our business and act as a crucial link between our Operations, Development, and Analytics teams.

The role offers flexible working hours between 25-40 hours per week based on your preference, making it ideal if you have, e.g., ongoing studies. As our operations are live 24/7/365, the work of an Operations Associate is distributed across day, evening, and weekend shifts with occasional overnight on-call duties to ensure seamless service delivery. We are looking for candidates interested in minimum 12-month fixed-term contracts with the shared goal of transitioning to a full-time role afterwards.

We do not expect you to have a study background or expertise directly from the industrial or energy sector. However, interest and motivation to learn and work in the industry are crucial.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee Autonomous Operations: Monitor and supervise the proprietary AI Autopilot controlling & optimizing our customers’ industrial energy assets 24/7.

• Interruption resolution: Initiate & coordinate debugging efforts with internal and external stakeholders. The work includes, e.g., direct customer service, reporting, adjusting operating parameters, and coordinating technical problem-solving internally.

• Customer Support: Act as the first point of contact via phone, email, or chat for urgent inquiries from customers’ site managers and operators.

• Contribution to Operations Development: Take ownership of the development of the world’s leading industrial energy platform. You are expected to participate in operations development as both an internal customer and a builder. Potential development areas include:

  • Autonomous operational processes (deterministic / AI-enabled / fully agentic)

  • Automated alerting

  • Finance operations

  • Management of data and knowledge base

• Bilingual Excellence: Fluent in Finnish and English, with the ability to tailor communication to your audience.
