MAITE Planner
Athens, Greece
Role Highlights
Title: MAITE Planner
Location: Athens, Greece
Department: Global Manufacturing Organisation
Reports to: Director of MAITE
Employment type: Permanent
Workplace model: Office
Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
Please note we can only accept applications in English
Why this role matters:
The mission of this role is to be the single planning point for the whole MAITE organisation in Greece: AIT Engineering, Production, Stock & Logistics, Procurement, Quality, and the Cleanroom & Lab. You will build and own one integrated schedule that turns satellite demand into executable work across all of them. Unlike traditional satellite builds, LEO constellations demand industrial-scale throughput, modular design adaptability, and tight integration between production, engineering, and supply chain functions. This role requires not only a mastery of planning and scheduling principles but also the ability to create or enhance digital tools and workflows where off-the-shelf solutions fall short.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time delivery, protect capacity, and enable agile scaling of satellite manufacturing for large constellations. Much of the value sits in the interfaces: sequencing a calibration campaign or a cleanroom intervention so it does not stop a build, holding a slot for a quality inspection, or flagging a long-lead component early enough for procurement to act. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, contributes to system development, and proactively bridges planning and software capability gaps.
Who We Are
ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.
As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.
ICEYE operates internationally with offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Build, maintain and optimise a single integrated schedule covering AIT Engineering, Production, Stock & Logistics, Procurement, Quality and the Cleanroom & Lab, against technical constraints, material availability, labour and facility capacity.
Translate satellite demand into executable work for each department, and keep their plans aligned as priorities, designs and delivery dates change.
Run the daily and weekly planning cadence: publish status, surface risks early, propose mitigations, and drive them to a decision.
Produce and maintain the artefacts the organisation runs on: master schedule, critical path analysis, capacity plans, sprints and the visual management boards used in daily meetings.
Integrate new product introduction and engineering changes into the plan, including prototype and qualification builds, without disrupting series production.
Schedule planned downtime deliberately, including preventive maintenance, instrument calibration campaigns and cleanroom interventions, so that they land where they cost least.
Embed quality hold points, inspection windows and rework loops into the schedule rather than absorbing them as overruns, and flag long-lead and shortage risk to Procurement early enough to act.
Own planning data integrity in the ERP and MES, so that material and production status stay accurate enough to plan from.
Define, publish and track the planning indicators for every department: on-time delivery, schedule adherence and cycle time for the organisation as a whole, plus the department-level measures that explain them, such as material availability at kit release, inspection turnaround, equipment availability and calibration compliance.
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
5+ years of experience in production, industrial or operations planning in a technological environment (aerospace, defense, maritime, automotive, semiconductor, medical devices, etc.)
Proven scheduling capability across multiple departments or product lines, building and owning a master schedule fully.
Capacity planning across labour, equipment and facilities, with the judgement to state clearly what cannot be done as well as what can.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics and systems engineering, sufficient to challenge a lead time or a routing.
Ability to hold competing departmental priorities in balance and reach a decision without formal authority over the teams involved.
Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Adaptability to respond quickly to production changes, delays, or evolving technical requirements.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP/MES systems and scheduling tools, including responsibility for planning master data accuracy.
Experience producing visual management for daily operational meetings, and with project tooling such as Jira, Smartsheet or MS Project.
Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
Nice to haves:
Comfortable reading technical documentation: bills of materials, routings, work instructions and engineering change notices.
Foundational software development skills, such as Python or scripting, are a plus, useful for automating planning tasks, integrating data sources, or building internal planning tools.
Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement, S&OP cycles, or APICS/ASCM certification is also welcome.
