Why this role matters:
We are seeking a Satellite Production Plan Coordinator for the Global Manufacturing Organisation of ICEYE.
This role is the eyes and ears of the planning system on the production floor. Sitting at the foundation of the planning hierarchy, it thinks in days, work orders, and the current configuration and status of every active satellite and sub-system.
The accuracy of everything that happens above this role — the rolling plan, the capacity model, and the monthly approval decisions made at VP level — depends on the quality of the data it keeps. The Coordinator makes sure that data is always clean, current, and trustworthy, and that nothing on the floor drifts out of view.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-velocity environments and takes genuine pride in being the most reliable source of truth.
Who We Are
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Smartsheet, Jira, and NetSuite & MES are always in sync — no phantom WIP and no conflicting references — with work orders released and closed as needed so nothing is missing.
Floor and configuration issues are captured and escalated when needed, never discovered late.
As-built configuration and work order BoM data always match the approved LCM baseline, so the plan is never built on a stale configuration.
The planning system reflects floor reality rather than planning assumptions, and the Head of Planning never has to chase floor or configuration data.
Role-specific Competences
Hands-on production planning and work-order coordination.
Configuration awareness (FCR / PCR, BoM, as-built vs as-designed).
Cross-system data accuracy across Smartsheet, Jira, and NetSuite & MES.
Early, factual escalation of deviations.
Influence without direct authority.
Key Competences
In addition to the requirements above, we evaluate candidates on these key qualities throughout the hiring process:
Keep the floor and the system in sync: Maintain alignment and accuracy across Smartsheet, Jira, and NetSuite & MES work orders so there are no conflicting references and a clear delivery plan.
Communicate local configuration changes: Identify changes accurately as they happen, and keep work order data aligned while coordinating closely with the Configuration lead, who owns the governed baseline.
Catch deviations early: Know immediately when something is wrong on the floor, or departs from the approved plan — and raise a clear, factual escalation.
Feed the planning cycle: Keep planning inputs — plan-vs-actuals, milestone status, people availability — current and flowing upward on cadence, so the planning pack reflects floor reality.
Coordinate the daily rhythm: Work with the site MAITE leads on team members' daily schedules, and report actual people availability accurately into the capacity model.
Be the dependable data source: Ensure work order numbers and configuration references are consistently applied across systems, so the layers above never have to chase or reconcile.
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing, production planning, or AIT coordination environment.
Comfort working hands-on with planning and tracking tools — Smartsheet, Jira, and an ERP / MRP system such as NetSuite.
A genuine obsession with data accuracy, and the discipline to keep multiple systems consistent under time pressure.
Data analytics capability — comfortable working with data to surface issues, track trends, and support decisions (e.g. Excel, Power BI, or similar).
Inventory management experience — tracking materials, WIP, and stock accuracy against plan.
Be a Team player.
Be obsessive about data accuracy.
Have a detailed understanding of ERP, MES, and work-order / planning tools
A natural collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Strong organisational and coordination skills.
Clear, factual communication, and the instinct to raise a problem early rather than sit on it.
The ability to coordinate across people and sites without owning them — influence and reliability over authority.
Nice to Haves
A satellite, aerospace, or another regulated, low-volume / high-complexity manufacturing setting.
A working understanding of BOM / Work order management concepts — or the appetite to learn them quickly.
