Why this role matters:

As Legal Counsel, you will be a key member of the Legal team, partnering closely with business stakeholders across ICEYE’s Mission, Data, Solutions, and Supply Chain functions.

You will advise on a wide range of international commercial matters, supporting complex transactions and helping scale ICEYE’s operations in Germany and globally, while also contributing to legal and regulatory workstreams.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating international commercial agreements across Mission, Data, Solutions, and Supply Chain.

• Supporting bids, tenders, and strategic transactions.

• Advising on legal risks and contract strategy across jurisdictions.

• Assisting with corporate and regulatory matters in Germany.

• Providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders.

• Developing legal processes, templates, and policies.

• Supporting compliance initiatives and training.

• Managing certain external counsel relationships.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• Qualified lawyer in Germany (or equivalent with strong German law expertise).

• 5–8 years’ PQE with private practice and in-house experience.

• Strong cross-border commercial contracting experience.

• Understanding of German corporate and regulatory law.

• Fluency in German and English.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.

• Commercially pragmatic mindset.

• Interest in technology, space, data, or defence sectors is desirable.

• Government/defence experience is a plus.

The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
