As a AIT Engineer - Optical, you’ll play a critical role in building and validating next-generation satellites, ensuring they are ready for mission-critical operations. You will directly impact ICEYE’s ability to scale satellite production and deliver reliable, high-performance ISR capabilities to customers worldwide.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Execute hands-on satellite assembly, integration, and testing activities across production builds

  • Lead subsystem integration, ensuring manufacturability, testability, and configuration consistency

  • Perform system-level verification and validation, including functional and environmental testing

  • Troubleshoot integration issues and drive root cause analysis with engineering and QA teams

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in satellite AIT, system integration, or hardware production environments

  • Strong system-level understanding of complex hardware systems and satellite architectures

  • Deep expertise in at least one domain such as optical, mechanical, electronics, or software engineering

  • Proven experience with integration, verification, and configuration management in high-reliability industries

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in design-for-manufacturing and design-for-testability practices

  • Background in space industry production ramp-up and AIT processes

  • Experience mentoring engineers or technicians in production environments
