As an R&D Satellite Build Engineer, you’ll enable rapid innovation by building, integrating, and validating engineering model satellites, ensuring new configurations are executed reliably and translated into flight-ready systems.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
Execute the build and integration of engineering model satellites, including mechanical and electrical assembly
Perform incoming inspection and verification of components prior to integration
Support and execute functional, environmental, and system-level testing activities
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues, escalating where needed
Document build, integration, and test results with full traceability
Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to implement new configurations and design updates
Support rapid iteration of prototype builds and improve build processes and tooling
Translate evolving R&D requirements into structured and executable build activities
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
3+ years of hands-on experience in satellite, aerospace, or complex hardware system assembly, integration, or testing
Strong understanding of mechanical and or electrical integration processes
Experience following technical procedures with high quality and precision
Familiarity with inspection, verification, and testing methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot integration challenges
Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams
Ownership mindset with focus on quality and timely delivery
Nice to haves:
Experience with satellite or aerospace hardware systems
Familiarity with cleanroom environments and ESD-safe practices
Experience with environmental testing such as vibration or thermal vacuum
Experience with configuration control and change management processes
