As a Manufacturing Engineer – Mechanical, you’ll bridge design and production by ensuring mechanical hardware is manufacturable, high-quality, and delivered on time, enabling rapid iteration and reliable scaling of ICEYE’s satellite systems.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
Review and improve mechanical design releases for manufacturability, including tolerances, GD&T, materials, and assembly requirements
Ensure manufacturing documentation packages are complete, accurate, and production-ready
Act as the technical interface with suppliers, managing manufacturing execution, quality, and documentation
Track prototype builds, schedules, and priorities to ensure on-time delivery across multiple projects
Lead nonconformance handling, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions
Verify incoming prototypes and coordinate rework, fixes, and rebuilds as needed
Maintain accurate part data in PLM and ERP systems, including BOMs, revisions, and traceability
Contribute to process improvements, supplier onboarding, and development of prototyping capabilities
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Experience in mechanical parts manufacturing in aerospace or other high-reliability industries
Practical knowledge of MCAD and CAM tools
Understanding of manufacturing techniques, standards, and testing methods for mechanical components
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation
Experience working with external suppliers and managing technical interfaces
Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Nice to haves:
Experience with PLM or ERP systems for configuration and lifecycle management
Experience supporting prototype builds and NPI processes
Experience in satellite or space hardware manufacturing environments
