*About the Role
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic “Project Buyer” to support our Global Manufacturing Infrastructure team in the important task of ensuring we have all the needed infrastructural components, processes and technical capabilities in place in all ICEYE’s manufacturing sites optimized for building our unique SAR microsatellites, supporting subsystems and products. This position is based in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland, but will require regular travelling to ICEYE’s manufacturing sites around the globe. Are you ready for the challenge?
Responsibilities
- Essential functions, Job duties, Key responsibilities and ownership, Other tasks, etc.
- RFI/RFP/RFQs, placing orders, follow-ups, quality claims
- Assist in technical and lead in commercial negotiations
- Purchasing responsibility for infrastructural components/services, equipment & tools
- Sourcing of global and local vendors
- Support in inbound/outbound logistics and inventory management
- Support in trade compliance matters
- ERP transactions & relevant financial reporting
- Invoice verification
Skills & Experience:
- Ideal candidate has a commercial background and a technical mind-set
- 3-5 years experience in a global purchaser / buyer’s role
- Good team player
- Ability to learn and manage in a highly technical environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent English proficiency, Finnish language is a plus
- Any knowledge of aerospace or satellite industry; suppliers, technologies, parts and standards is a major plus
- Any knowledge of import/export procedures is an advantage
- Regular traveling to ICEYE’s manufacturing sites
