The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a safe and sustainable workplace. This role involves risk assessment, regulatory compliance, training, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of safety culture across our manufacturing sites at ICEYE.
What you will do in this role:
1. EHS Strategy & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s EHS policies, procedures, and practices in line with local, national, and international regulations and company strategy including sustainability principles and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws, environmental regulations, and industry-specific standards together with the local teams in our manufacturing locations globally
- Stay updated on changes to EHS legislation and best practices.
2. Health & Safety Management
- Own our OHS risk assessments process including, hazard identification and mitigation
- Implement controls to reduce accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
- Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Track and report OHS performance metrics and drive needed development projects to ensure improvement.
3. Environmental Management
- Implement environmental management programs (e.g., waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation) in cooperation with ICEYE sustainability team.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems in our global manufacturing organisation.
- Track and report environmental performance metrics (energy use, emissions, waste reduction).
4. Training & Culture
- Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and employee engagement.
- Coach and support managers in integrating EHS into daily operations.
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain EHS performance dashboards and KPIs.
- Lead internal EHS audits and follow up on findings.
- Drive continuous improvement Projects to ensure progress in EHS agenda
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISO 14001/45001 experience, lead auditor qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, training, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and software tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment.
