What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

We continue to scale our Assembly, Integration, and Testing team to support the company's growth. We are looking for a Satellite Build Manager to join our global Missions Department based in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland. You will report to the AIT Team Lead.

About the role:

The AIT team strives to increase the quality and quantity of built satellites. The team is looking for Satellite Build Manager to support the increased pace. Just so you know, it is a full-time managerial position first, meaning you will only do a little of the technical functions (maybe 10-20%).

What you will do:

  • Managing satellite build timelines
    • Defining satellite build timeline
    • Planning for environmental testing of satellites
    • Planning system-level testing campaign for the satellite
    • Tracking the satellite assembly timeline using internally built tools
    • Being accountable for meeting the satellite build timeline
  • Managing satellite build tasks
    • Defining/creating tasks for the AIT team to perform the progress of the satellite build
    • Defining task prioritization for team members
    • Defining goals for weekly sprints
  • Track hardware readiness
    • Tracking the satellite configuration and making sure the proper documentation is in place
    • Following the status of subsystem-level acceptance testing
    • Follow the manufacturing of harness and MLI.

Requirements

Must have:

  • 3 + Years of experience in Aerospace manufacturing
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or relevant Bachelor's degree
  • Good task management skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of different satellite subsystems and how they interact
  • Good documentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with all the stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Manage well under stress

  • Excel and Jira skills
