About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, analytically minded Senior Financial Analyst to build and scale our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function. As one of the earliest members of the finance team, you will develop forecasting models, support board-level reporting, partner with business leaders, and help drive critical decisions across the company. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful executive exposure and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve detailed operating and financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Forecast bookings, revenue, and gross margin—supporting both GAAP and internal metrics.
  • Model headcount, payroll, operating expenses, and scenario planning for future funding rounds.
  • Support pricing, gross margins, unit economics and SaaS or subscription analysis.
  • Board & Investor Reporting
  • Prepare board reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and monthly financial summaries.
  • Work with leadership to craft financial narratives, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Support data requests during fundraising, debt financing, and lender reporting.
  • Operational Analytics
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Product.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools for pipeline, inventory, revenue, and customer metrics.
  • Analyze spend trends, vendor costs, and ROI on growth initiatives.
  • Accounting Support (light)
  • Support monthly close with reconciliations, variance analysis, and revenue/COGS insights.
  • Work with accounting to improve accuracy of accruals, deferred revenue, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Help streamline systems as we scale (QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling, ERP etc.).

Required Skills

  • 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or consulting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and building from a blank page.
  • Experience in SaaS, subscription, hardware, or revenue-generating tech business.
  • Comfortable owning complex data sets, digging through ambiguity, and building structure.
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify financial concepts for non-finance teams.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, startup environment.

Bonus Skills

  • Very detailed oriented, models and board reports are clean, investor-ready, and strategically sharp.
  • Reliable forecasting with meaningful accuracy improvements over time.
  • Leadership gets clear, actionable dashboards—not just spreadsheets.
  • Teams understand their budgets and performance drivers.
  • The company makes better decisions because the numbers are clear.
  • SQL, Looker/Tableau, ERP implementation experience.
