We’re hiring a Research Consultant / Brand Manager to work directly with customers — helping them design research, run studies, and translate findings into strategic decisions.
What You’ll Own
Customer Research Programs
- Lead customer research engagements from kickoff through insight delivery. You’ll work with customers to translate business questions into research studies and ensure every project produces meaningful insight.
Research Strategy & Consulting
- Act as a strategic advisor to customers running research across the full funnel — from brand awareness and message testing to competitive intelligence and customer experience insights.
Client Relationships
- Own relationships with customer stakeholders and become their trusted partner for understanding markets, audiences, and buyer behavior.
Insights & Storytelling
- Turn research results into clear, compelling insights. You’ll synthesize findings and present narratives that help marketing, product, and strategy leaders make confident decisions.
Project Delivery
- Coordinate with internal team members executing research workflows to ensure projects move quickly and maintain a high bar for quality.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other team members supporting research execution. You’ll help guide projects, unblock workstreams, and ensure customers have a great experience.
Customer Insight → Product Feedback
- Because you’re close to both research and customers, you’ll surface patterns and feedback that help improve Gather’s research engine and product capabilities.

What You Bring
- 4–8+ years in roles such as: Market Researcher, Insights Manager, Research Consultant, Consumer Insights Manager, strategy or insights roles at research agencies or consultancies.
- Experience being responsible for customer or client outcomes, either through owning a book of business, managing individual relationships, or providing professional services
- Experience designing and running market research or customer insights studies
- Experience translating research findings into clear business insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with experience presenting insights to stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple research engagements simultaneously
- Comfort working directly with marketing, product, and strategy leaders
- A bias toward action and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment
- Understanding and comfort with AI applications and AI-native software
Bonus Points
- Experience at market research firms or insights consultancies
- Experience running B2B research or competitive intelligence studies
- Experience as a Customer Success Manager at a software company
- Experience working with research platforms, AI tools, or analytics software
