Our diverse team is looking for a Sensor Fusion / SLAM Engineer to help us in our mission to develop robust and highly accurate navigation solutions for robots and autonomous vehicles. About the role

  • Design and implementation of Fixposition’s real-time sensor fusion pipeline (vision, IMU, GNSS, wheel odometer)
  • Research and development of SLAM systems with a variety of sensor inputs
  • Optimize algorithms and run them on embedded Linux (in cooperation with Software Engineers)
  • Evaluate the performance of the algorithms on autonomous ground vehicles and drones

Your Profile

  • MSc or PhD in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Theoretical understanding and hands-on experience solving sensor fusion or state estimation problems
  • Excellent knowledge on visual-inertial SLAM using optimization or filtering based approaches
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Excellent spoken & written communication skills in English
  • Strong drive to bring in your experience to push our product
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Bonus Skills

Hands on experience in:

  • Machine learning / deep learning based computer vision algorithms
  • Algorithms for estimating position using GNSS measurements
  • Nonlinear optimization methods
  • Commonly used libraries like Eigen, Ceres, OpenCV etc.
  • Real-time sensor systems
