Who we are
Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to net zero carbon, but we need to move quickly. Emitwise wants to ensure that every organisation across the world, big or small, is able to embark on a sustainability journey that culminates in net zero. The planet deserves more than just another tech company, and if you do too, then keep reading.
At Emitwise, we've built a team that has the skillset and desire to bring automated carbon accounting to life — saving businesses time, money, and emissions. We have built a platform which makes it significantly easier and faster for companies to calculate, track, and reduce their carbon emissions. This allows them to reduce costs, future-proof their business, and become sustainability leaders. Ultimately, we're a group of people disenchanted with business as usual and looking to make a real impact through creative innovation.
We’re a well-funded post-Series-A startup backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors who share our mission, including True Ventures, Outsized Ventures, Lightbird Capital, ArcTern, Social Impact Capital and Xplorer Capital. To develop industry-shifting products we work with pioneers like Marc Engel, Ex Chief Supply Chain Officer of Unilever, Lynelle Cameron, ex Chief Sustainability Officer of Autodesk and Rob Bernard, Chief Sustainability Officer of CBRE.
Read more about us in publications like Business Leader, ESGToday and Forbes.
With more and more customers coming to Emitwise for carbon accounting and supplier engagement, we have a fantastic opportunity for another carbon accountant to join our team, as soon as possible on a full time, permanent basis.
We want to hear from you if you have 1-3 years' experience of corporate carbon accounting (calculating companies' GHG emissions by collecting their activity data and assigning appropriate emissions factors).
What you'll be doing
We think in terms of impact. Here's how you will contribute when you join (depending on your experience):
- You'll deliver high-quality work as part of a team. You’ll analyse, interpret and review business activity data and GHG emissions results, ensuring the highest standards in GHG inventory analysis are met which will empower the customer success team.
- Support and learn, or lead our carbon accounting work. You will work as part of a sub-team with one or more other Analysts and one or more Carbon Accounting Leads - servicing a selection of our customers. You will learn first-hand as you support them in the delivery of various different customer projects. Or if you're an experienced carbon accountant, you'll lead our work for some customers and present the expert technical face of Emitwise in meetings with them.
- We're growing quickly. Your ability to produce high-quality work in a timely way will allow us to continue to rapidly scale our customer base.
- Define world-class carbon accounting. You'll be encouraged to apply your innovative thinking and skills to help improve the efficiency of our processes. You'll take time to do research and develop knowledge, for your own development and to ensure Emitwise continues to be viewed as a world leader in carbon accounting.
