Title: Regional Health & Safety Manager, Americas

Location: Denver, CO / Herndon, VA / Austin, TX / Houston, TX

Travel: Up to 50% across North and South America

The Regional Health & Safety Manager, Americas is accountable for Health & Safety performance across EdgeConneX’s Americas data center portfolio. This role owns the prevention of serious incidents, consistent application of standards, and closure of corrective actions across operational sites, offices, and construction handover into steady-state operations.

This role will include the prevention of serious incidents through high-risk activity management processes, emergency response planning, safety in datacenter operations, and construction/contractor safety. The role is responsible for monitoring risk, trending leading and lagging metrics, and developing reports used to drive accountability and corrective action. This role serves as the senior regional safety leader for the Americas, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Security, Construction, and key customers. The position balances hands-on field engagement with regional program ownership, incident management, audits, metrics, and executive-level reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and lead Health & Safety performance across the Americas portfolio.
  • Implement and maintain EdgeConneX global Health & Safety programs, standards, and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary Health & Safety point of contact for assigned data centers and campuses.
  • Drive prevention of serious incidents through high-risk activity management, permit-to-work, and field presence.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with OSHA, local regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Lead incident notification, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Own regional corrective action closure, ensuring findings from incidents, audits, and inspections are resolved, verified, and not repeated.
  • Maintain oversight of OSHA logs, regulatory filings, and required safety documentation.
  • Monitor leading and lagging indicators, trend data, and site performance to drive accountability and corrective action.
  • Develop and deliver regional safety metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Support internal, external, and customer-driven audits, including evidence collection and closure tracking.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to develop, maintain, and test Emergency Action Plans.
  • Ensure Health & Safety requirements are embedded into SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MTAs, and emergency drills.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for operational and construction-related safety risks.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies as required and manage related correspondence.
  • Drive a standardized and consistent Health & Safety approach across the Americas region.
  • Maintain regular site presence through travel to support operational alignment and oversight.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High personal standards and a prevention mindset focused on eliminating serious incidents.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local Health & Safety regulations.
  • Strong capability in incident investigations, evidence gathering, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear expectations and concise reporting.
  • Ability to set expectations, drive accountability, and achieve closure across Operations, Engineering, Security, Construction, and vendor teams without direct authority.
  • Strong audit mindset: disciplined documentation, corrective action tracking, and closure.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple sites, initiatives, and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional composure and make sound decisions in pressured situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and comfort working in systems for reporting, tracking, and documentation.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work on-site in operational and construction environments as needed.

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health & Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience supporting multiple sites (operations and construction interface), preferably in critical infrastructure or industrial environments.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions to verified closure across a distributed portfolio.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Data center experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and operating practical Health & Safety management systems (audits, training compliance, metrics, and action tracking).
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and supporting audit expectations (evidence quality, reporting, closure).
US Salary Range
$90,000$110,000 USD
