Title: Manager, International Accounting
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounting manager to lead intercompany accounting in a complex international organization. This role will report to the Sr. Director Assistant Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy of the intercompany accounts, provide support for statutory audits and play strategic role in ongoing projects to improve efficiency within the intercompany process.
This position is based in Herndon, VA and flexible to a hybrid work structure where 2 days remote is standard. While no travel required, EdgeConneX supports travel that would help to strengthen relationships and overall collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads monthly close process for intercompany including establishing close calendars, processing journal entries, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations and completing intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensures all intercompany transactions comply with the company’s policies and governance
- Responsible for ensuring all legal entities are captured in the ERP and keeping legal entity documentation up to date.
- Assists with annual financial audit and statutory audits.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to drive efficiencies within intercompany.
- Perform special projects and ad hoc analyses as requested by the Accounting and Finance leadership team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Experience working in international organizations with complex legal entity structures is a plus.
- Those candidates with experience with RPA, AI, or other process automation tools are also highly encouraged to apply
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field such as finance
- 6+ years of experience in a similar accounting management role in a global organization supporting complex intercompany transactions, i.e. multi-entity, multi-currency
- Candidates who are an active CPA, and/or have experience working with NetSuite are strongly encouraged to apply
