Procurement Manager

Location: Helsinki / Oslo / remote

Are you a strategic thinker and have a track record in managing complex projects? We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Procurement Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and optimizing procurement operations, with a strong focus on cost savings, quality control, and supplier relationships. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the procurement process from end to end. A strong understanding of the Nordics / Baltics market and a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers are essential.

Carbo Culture is a carbon removal technology developer on a mission to help mitigate climate change by permanently removing CO2. We’re a global team headquartered in London with a subsidiary and ops in Oslo managing the Technology and Project execution functions.. Our team is largely remote, and we meet for team or company wide summits. We work closely together online across time zones using tools such as slack, zoom and the Google suite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Owns the Procurement function, including developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Provides cash flow management support, ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with the company's financial objectives
• Identifies and evaluates potential suppliers, conducts market research, and negotiates contracts to secure the best possible pricing, quality, and service
• Maintains a comprehensive supplier database and tracks supplier performance
• Collaborates with engineering, business development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on procurement needs and objectives
• Develops and implements purchasing contract terms and conditions
• Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness
• Manages delivery control activities, ensuring that suppliers meet agreed-upon delivery schedules and quality standards
• Maintains a strong network of contacts in the Nordics / Baltics market

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with a background in the engineering, process, or power industries
• Proven experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
• Familiarity with procurement software and systems
• Proven ability to deliver cost savings and improve procurement efficiency
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
