Information Technology (IT) Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the IT team, ensuring a high level of performance and professional development
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Establish metrics to demonstrate IT SLA is meeting business and security objectives, and leverage as source for continuous improvements
  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Security Management: Maintain ISO 27001 Information security controls to protect company data and systems
  • Manage Budget by tracking contract renewals, project spend, contractors and participate in roadmap exercises for forecast future investment
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and manage service agreements
  • Ensure timely support and troubleshooting for all end-users, improving overall user experience
  • Policy Development: Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
  • Continuously assess and integrate new technologies to enhance operations, making recommendations for improvements

This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Kitchener office 2-3 days per week

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years experience in IT management or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 principles and practices
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus
  • Hands on experience and deep understanding of technologies, controls, and standard methodologies (e.g., Google Workspace, AWS, Azure, SAML, MFA, SSO)
  • Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks
