As Staff Hardware Engineer at Artyc, you will be helping us create the firmware that enables our products with a close-knit and mission-driven team. We are looking for passionate and highly skilled individuals to join our team and be part of growing their respective organizations within the company. For the Staff Hardware Engineer role at Artyc, we are looking for a leader, a critical thinker, and an effective communicator. You will be a team lead for our electrical and firmware efforts and have a direct impact on Artyc’s growth and culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide Artyc’s hardware development across multiple products, including determining priorities and tasks for you and the team
  • Design, produce, and debug PCBs'
  • Become an expert in our firmware codebase to add features, debug, and guide other members of the team
  • Operate in an agile development environment where you’ll manage team timelines and priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical and software engineering counterparts, and collaborate with product, sales, and design teams

Role Requirements

  • Can construct power budgets for mobile systems
  • Creation of production firmware in C/C++
  • Understanding of RTOS fundamentals
  • Background with project management tools such as Asana and Jira
  • Experience with Git
  • Embody Artyc’s mission-driven culture and collaborative environment

Preferred Skills

  • Background with IoT products
  • Have brought products through scale manufacturing
  • Previously put together strong electrical engineering teams
  • Have been part of full product lifecycle development
